Terms of use
DyzOps is in beta. By installing or using it you accept these terms. Last changed 2026-10-28.
Beta, free, as is
Using the beta is free. If paid plans come later, they will be announced on this page before they apply.
DyzOps is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. It is beta software: it can have bugs that stop a server, break a mod set or lose data (worlds, configs, backups). Keep your own copies of what matters.
To the extent the law allows, the author of DyzOps is not liable for any damage, lost data, lost players or lost income that comes from using it or from not being able to use it.
What DyzOps does on your PC
- Installs the DyzOps agent as a Windows service that runs as Local System and starts with Windows.
- Adds a Microsoft Defender exclusion for its folder (the folder holds the DayZ servers and mods) and opens Windows Firewall ports for the servers you create.
- Updates itself from updates.dyzops.com. It installs only releases signed with the DyzOps release key, and puts the previous version back when a new one keeps crashing.
- Keeps your servers, mods, backups and settings in its folder. Uninstall it from Windows Settings → Apps.
Your accounts and data
Your Steam login is used by SteamCMD on your PC to download the DayZ server and Workshop mods; DyzOps does not send it anywhere. Nothing about your servers leaves your PC unless you turn on the anonymous start reports (see Privacy) or send feedback, which sends what you type.
Games, mods and services of others
DayZ and the DayZ server are products of Bohemia Interactive; Steam, SteamCMD and the Workshop belong to Valve; mods belong to their authors. DyzOps is not affiliated with them. You need your own right to use them and you follow their terms, including the licenses of the mods you host.
Licence
You may install and use DyzOps on any number of PCs you control. You may not sell it, or share changed copies of it. All rights not given here are kept by the author.
Changes and contact
These terms can change; the version on this page applies, and using a newer release means you accept it. Questions and problems: the Feedback button in DyzOps (top bar).
